Back in 2000 my friend Beth Call (I miss her, I need to find her) told me that I
should start a web journal, a "blog" if you will. I was against the idea of it, I
Didn’t want air my dirty laundry in a public format, and I didn’t want to have my data
being stored in someone else’s database. For years I held my stance that journals and
blogs were not for me. Now look at me, not only do I have a blog, but I wrote it
myself. Talk about being a hypocrite. I guess since this is my first post I should
make it a good one….
With every key that I type, I'm in more and more pain. I suffer from "burning wrist
hurt disease", doctors also call it carpel tunnel syndrome. Right now, I’m wearing
braces that don’t allow any wrist motion. This leaves me to do the robot when ever I
move. Doing the robot is cool, but not if you don’t have any other option of arm
movement. The fact that I work in an office typing computer code all day doesn’t help
either.
The biggest thing on my mind right now is the fact that I bought a house…err,
condo. 3 bed 2.5 bath, nice area. I move in next week… Ikea here I come. I plan on
remodeling the down stairs. The ceiling has this crappy spray on popcorn-acoustic
junk that I need so scrape off…that’s going to be fun. Then I’m going to put in
hardwood floors. It will make the place look a lot better. Right now EVERYTHING is
pink!. Pink carpet, pink tiles, pink marble fireplace, PINK TOILETS! WHAT THE HELL!!! That stuff has got to go. I have my work cut out for me. Houses are more time and money than I first realized.
DBo is back in town for a few months, and is going to move in with me once I get the keys to the house. It's going to be good times.
On top of moving, remodeling, working full time, planning a wedding (I’m getting
married February 19th), and being part of a serious band, I’m working on new updates
to notpop. I’m currently testing out a new version on the message boards, and
modifying them to fit the site. Basically notpop will get a major overhaul very
soon. Once Amy starts school, and I’m in my new house, I think I’m going to have more
time to work on it… and hurt my wrists some more in the process.
